Company Background
Established in 2018, FCS Can Ltd. is a registered Canadian company dedicated to renting and selling concrete forming and shoring to formwork contractors. At FCS Can, helping others isn’t just business—it’s our passion. When Con-Tech Systems closed in August 2023, we wanted to help the companies that depended on the supply of their materials to continue and finish their projects with minimal interruptions. Now, as those clients become part of our story, we’re committed to earning their trust alongside new customers.
FCS Can is led by our CEO, Thomas Schmitz, who has deep roots in the industry, and we continue to build on a legacy. Thomas’ expertise, shaped by his years at Con-Tech and the mentorship of his father-in-law, Horst Achenbroich, forms the backbone of FCS Can. Over the years, Thomas has also been immersed in the concrete forming and shoring field—FCS Can Ltd. was born out of this experience.

Geotechnical Division
Our Geotechnical division provides the CTS®/IBO® hollow bar systems, first introduced by Con-Tech Systems. We also offer solid bar anchors, strand anchor materials, plastic sheathing, accessories, and hydraulic jacks. Our portfolio now includes Fibreglass (FRP) Anchors, offering a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative for coastal, tunneling, and chemically aggressive applications.
Concrete Forming and Shoring Division
Our Concrete Forming and Shoring division just introduced FRP rebar as an alternative to traditional steel reinforcement, offering high-strength, lightweight, easy-use, and non-corrosive reinforcement solutions for bridges, tunnels, marine infrastructure, and high-moisture environments. We also provide concrete formwork, shoring, steel shores, and plywood. In addition, we offer sensor technology for monitoring concrete curing and strength, helping ensure quality and efficiency in construction.
